Two new GPS navigators by Sony

“The European unit of Sony has announced two new car GPS-navigators of the nav-u series – NV-U81T and NV-U80. They will involve Sony’s brand technology POSITION PLUS, the company says. It ensures accurate positioning and provides info on the route, even if the GPS-signal might be inaccurate, for example, when the car passes through the tunnel, under the bridge or among high buildings. The effect is achieved due to acceleration and pressure sensors, which interpret car movement, ensuring higher calculation accuracy, when the GPS-signal is weak or temporarily unavailable. The navigators are equipped with a 4.3” widescreen sensor color LCD. The NV-U81T stores maps of Europe (37 countries) on an integrated 4 GB HDD, protected from blow and vibration, and the NV-U80 stores just one map on 512 MB flash-memory. Besides the NV-U81T supports TMC-services, which is optional on the NV-U80. The navigators will come out in Europe in November.” via mobile-review.com
