Two new iPAQs launched in Japan

“HP has launched a pair of new iPAQ handhelds in Japan.Part of the recently announced rx4000 Mobile Media Companion family, the rx4240 and rx4540 run Windows Mobile 5.0 on a 400 MHz Samsung processor and feature integrated Bluetooth 2.0 and Wi-Fi (802.11b/g) short-range wireless networking. The only difference between these two is the amount of memory installed. The rx4240 comes with 64 MB RAM and 128 MB ROM, whereas the rx4540 boasts of 64 MB RAM and 1 GB of inbuilt storage.Both handhelds come with a 2.8-inch color QVGA screen and a SDIO expansion slot. They measure 102 x 64 x 18 mm, and weigh 127 grams.According to Reg Hardware, the iPAQ rx4240 and rx4540 are priced at $280 and $360, respectively.” via pdalive.com
