“Rumor: Two separate sources have posted possible images and specs on two new Palm Treo smartphones. The images show a similar models, one with a new design running Palm OS and another running Windows Mobile Standard (formerly WM Smartphone edition). The blog Morning Paper first posted a blurry, black and white image of a supposed Palm Gandolf from a upcoming release list. The author claims the model runs Palm OS Garnet and will debut on Sprint later this year for around $200. Its likely specs include, EVDO (rev. A), Integrated camera, Bluetooth and a Micro SD expansion slot. The blog has since followed up with an additional color image of the device. The strongest evidence for this device comes from a newly leaked live spy shot of a new Palm device, with a very similar design yet running Windows Mobile smartphone edition. If accurate, this would mark the first device using Windows Mobile standard from Palm. The Standard version of Windows Mobile does not use a touch-screen and supports a 320×240 display size. The device clearly shows a Palm logo and prototype serial number along with Vodafone branding. It also has the home and back navigational buttons found on all Windows Mobile smartphone devices. The Vodafone mark indicates this is a GSM device which will be offered in Europe. No other details accompanied the picture. ” via palminfocenter.com

Kingmax shows off 16GB SD card!
“Hangover was marked with 12 and 16 GB CompactFlash and 8 GB SecureDigital cards, but as the time passes by, these cards are falling down in price and time for new highest capacity is coming. During our press briefing over at the Kingmax booth, the lass called Vera showed us a SDHC (Secure Digital-High Capacity) card with no less than non-formatted capacity of 16GB. Even though this is not the first time we are hearing about 16GB SD cards, it is somewhat cool to see that a cellphone could easily have 16GB storage for pictures, video and multimedia. But, this stick will be mostly used with digital cameras, and with 16GB of storage, you can expect that hours and hours of video will happily fit. Since the card is ready for mass production, we are expecting that these babies will start to appear in stores worldwide rather sooner than later. And of course, it is pretty normal to expect that the prices of lower-capacity storage will continue to crash down and put gigabytes of data in the hands of people.” via theinquirer.net
Review of GSM handset Nokia 8600 Luna
” “Luna” isn’t the product’s codename as many thought long before the official announcement, it makes a single whole with the index. Nokia has picked the way of personal names for many solutions, at that, milestone offerings get unique names, while series or categories are named after the segment. The latter is characterized, for example, by “Classic” – there are the Nokia 6500 Classic (and the Nokia 6500 Slider, which is a totally different model) and the Nokia 3110 Classic. In some respect, this is similar to what Sony Ericsson makes for its line-up, yet over there they do it basing on functionality, which means that Walkman name comprises only music-minded phones.” Read more here:
