Nokia 6500 slide Cell Phone Gets FCC Okay

Nokia 6500 slide cell phone “The Nokia 6500 slide cell phone, which we recently saw on the Whack, has been granted FCC approval, paving its way into the world markets. Equipped with a 3.2 megapixel on-board camera boasting Carl Zeiss optics, the 6500 slide offers a TV-out jack allowing you to make video calls on your TV. It supports microSD memory cards, and a USB interface for data sync. Push-to-talk facility is available as well, but of course your provider should support it.The Nokia 6500 slide features a 2.2″ QVGA resolution screen. The camera allows you to capture video as well, but I must say I am looking forward to the TV out functionality more than anything. Up to 4GB microSD memory cards are supported on the device. It also supports Nokia Xpress audio messaging (which requires MMS to be activated on the phone). There’s also a full-fledged email client and IM app on the 6500 slide. The phone appears to be on target for its Q3 2007 release, priced at €370.” via mobilewhack.com
