Samsung Galaxy S Pro with a Sliding Keyboard Might Be in the Offing

Samsung Galaxy S Pro

“Samsung turned heads last week when it announced the Galaxy S, an upcoming Android OS smartphone with a large, high-resolution, Super AMOLED display. Now there is an unconfirmed report that this will be joined by a version with a built-in keyboard. This model will supposedly be named the Samsung Galaxy S Pro, and will be identical to the already announced version but with a physical keyboard. How this keyboard will be arranged is not yet known, as Samsung uses landscape-oriented keyboards and portrait-oriented ones in its designs. (The image at left is one possibility.) The Galaxy S Pro will reportedly be released in June, for a price that’s €50 more than it keyboard-less model.
The smartphone Samsung introduced last week will debut later this year with Google’s Android OS 2.1 running on a 1 GHz processor. The feature that has attracted the most attention is its 4-inch WVGA (800 x 480) Super AMOLED touchscreen. The Galaxy S will also include 3G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 3.0, and a GPS receiver. It will come with either 8 GB or 16 GB of on-board memory, expandable to 32 GB with an external memory card. In addition, this smartphone is going to feature a 5-megapixel camera and the ability to shoot 720p video, either.” via brighthand.com
