Rumour – Battlefield 6 Budget Has Reached Over $400 Million, EA Wants Game To Hit 100 Million Players

A detailed report posted on Ars Technica has claimed that the new Battlefield title has already reached over $400 million in terms of budget, while publisher EA is looking to achieve a player count of 100 million, a figure significantly higher than anything the series has reached to date.

One anonymous source speaking to the site stated that Battlefield 1, which is the most successful game in the franchise, hit “maybe 30 million plus,” while Battlefield 2024 hit around 22 million. Arcs Technica spoke with a number of employees at EA who have work on or are still involved in production of the new Battlefield game, spanning multiple studios. They spoke of stress and long hours, with every individual having either taken leave due to exhaustion or knew someone who had.
