“Amidst all the clamor around its high-profile announcements at IFA (you know, the Moto Z Play, Hasselblad MotoMod, Yogas), Lenovo has also thrown in a few affordable mid-rangers. The K6 family (no “Vibe” this time) consists of three models, the plain Lenovo K6, K6 Power, and K6 Note, and they share a lot of the same specs. It all starts with the Snapdragon 430 chipset that powers all three, and that means an octa-core CPU with 4 Cortex-A53 cores clocked up to 1.5GHz, and another 4 capped at 1.2GHz. The Lenovo K6 proper has 2GB of RAM and either 16GB or 32GB of storage, the Power comes in 2GB/16GB and 3GB/32GB flavors, while on the K6 Note internal storage is set at 32GB, but RAM is either 3GB or 4GB. All models take microSD cards for storage expansion” Read all here:
Riding on a wave of rumors and hype, the Samsung Galaxy Note7 has landed. The new flagship will help Samsung venture deeper into several market segments. The Note7 is tough. It’s the first Note to be waterproofed – IP68 rating certifies it for depths beyond 1m. The phone’s metal frame is sandwiched between two symmetrically curved sheets of Gorilla Glass 5. The new Blue Coral option paints the metal and accents in gold, the rest in blue. The Note7 has an amazing screen. Samsung kept to the 5.7″ Super AMOLED formula but curved it on both sides like an edge phone. It has QHD resolution, naturally, but is among the first mobile displays to feature HDR support – a feature borrowed from 4K TVs that allows the screen to show more colors and scenes with very high contrast. After undergoing the thorough leak treatment, the Sony Xperia E5 was just made official today, without too much fuss. The handset can now be found on the company’s website, along with a confirmation of its previously rumored specs. Just as expected, the Sony Xperia E5 is equipped with a 5-inch 720p display and powered by Mediatek’s MTK6735 with four 1.3GHz Cortex-A53 cores. There’s 1.5GB of RAM, plus 16GB of expandable storage to finish the picture of an entry-level device. On the physical side of things, the Xperia E5 measures 144 x 69 x 8.2 mm and weighs in at 147g, which includes the 2,700 mAh battery pack. It should offer quite enough capacity for the Mediatek chip in question, with Sony promising “up to 2 days battery life” Read all here:
he Meizu PRO 5 launched in September and had monster specs now half a year later the Meizu PRO 6 launches and it’s… smaller? Yep, Number 6 comes with a 5.2″ screen. As expected it’s a Super AMOLED with 1080p resolution, but the size took us by surprise as the PRO 6 was 5.7″ and even the MX5 was 5.5″. The “killer feature” of the new screen is 3D Press, Meizu’s alternative to 3D Touch. In fact, it seems that Apple was the motivation behind going smaller – the iPhone SE did it. Curved Gorilla Glass 3 protects the screen. The Meizu PRO 5 is powered by MediaTek Helio X25 chipset – the 10-core processor and Mali-T880 GPU have been overclocked from the X20. You get 4GB of RAM too (so much for the rumored 6GB). The company positioned the camera as the big draw. It has an interesting 10-LED dual-tone flash arranged in a circle (but this is not a ring flash, mind you). The sensor has 21.1MP resolution and measures 1/2.4″. The camera also boasts Laser and phase-detection AF. Read more here:

For true enjoyment, a powerful affection for thumping techno music probably helps. A delight in being befogged by acrid smoke, blasted by bright lights and shuttled around in packs like cattle, there is also a session of public getting wet, to give them a real life experience.
