Tekken 8 Director Katsuhiro Harada has revealed that he wants to get an official Waffle House stage introduced in the series, but the hopeful collaboration hasn’t really got off the ground as the US chain has been ignoring his calls.

Fans were asking Harada-san last year that Tekken should receive a stage set in a Waffle House, something which took him by surprise and asked why it’s been requested so much. Tekken fans explained that the US restaurant chain has been the backdrop of many viral videos, where fights have broke out at Waffle Houses and sometimes involved staff.

Now, the Tekken series producer has offered an update on a potential collaboration with Waffle House, stating that his attempts to contact the chain haven’t been exactly fruitful.

Mafia: The Old Country ditches open world for blood-soaked storytelling

mafia:-the-old-country-ditches-open-world-for-blood-soaked-storytelling

It won’t be long before you can put yourself in the shoes of an up-and-coming foot soldier in the Torrisi crime family, as Mafia: The Old Country now has an official launch date. The latest in the Mafia series, developed by Hangar 13 and published by 2K Games, launches later this Summer. The game offers a fresh spin on gameplay compared to older games in the franchise. That being said, it should still deliver a familiar experience to longtime Mafia fans.

One major change is the world and pacing. Mafia: The Old Country won’t be an open-world game like Mafia: Definitive Edition and Mafia III. Instead, it will offer a more linear play style with a narrative-driven experience. “Mafia: The Old Country is a focused, linear experience that combines quality storytelling, authentic era immersion, and a refined take on the familiar Mafia gameplay. That focus allows us to deliver a story that’s gritty, grounded, brutal, and emotional. Embracing early 1900s era Sicily, this is a mafia origin story that follows our protagonist, Enzo Favara, as he takes the oath and works his way up Don Torrisi’s crime family,” says studio president Nick Baynes.

If that sounds exciting to you,

Why GTA 6 Could Be the End of the Open-World Genre As We Know It

why-gta-6-could-be-the-end-of-the-open-world-genre-as-we-know-it

Rockstar Games has always pushed boundaries. Each installment in the Grand Theft Auto series has changed how we think about sandbox games. But GTA 6 might do something no one expected: close the chapter on the traditional open-world genre. That doesn’t mean open-world games will disappear, but they may never be the same again.

With rumors pointing to a game that pushes realism, scale, and dynamic systems beyond anything we’ve seen before, it could raise the bar so high that traditional design won’t cut it anymore. It’s like how Avia Masters took the idea of online casino games and redefined user engagement with unique interactive elements—not by copying competitors, but by surpassing the standard playbook.

Rockstar’s Legacy: A Genre Defined

GTA III introduced 3D sandbox gameplay to the mainstream. Vice City and San Andreas added scale and personality. GTA IV brought emotional depth.

Margera’s appearance in Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 3 + 4 has been speculated for some time now, as he was featured in the original versions of those games. However, given his struggles with alcoholism since the mid-2000s, which resulted in numerous stints in rehab, it was speculated that Margera was being left out of the remaster.

However, it emerged in a report earlier this year that Tony Hawkhad demanded that Activision include Margera in the roster,
