“I heard more recently the pitches are being listened to”.

There’s been a lot of talk about Banjo-Kazooie without anything actually materialising over the past few years, but a new rumour suggests Xbox and Rare are at least “listening” to pitches about a new title.

This comes from Video Games Chronicle’s Andy Robinson, who mentioned on a VGC podcast that he’s heard Toys for Bob (Crash Bandicoot 4, Spyro Reignited Trilogy) and Moon Studios (Ori) could be interested in making a Banjo game.

Update: Windows Central says there are “no plans”.

As if today hasn’t been enough of a whirlwind for us at PX HQ — and everyone else closely following Xbox right now — fresh rumours are doing the rounds that long time boss Phil Spencer may step down from his role in the near future.

Call of Duty insider TheGhostOfHope has gone public with this, claiming that Phil is “ensuring a smooth transition” towards the brand being led by current Xbox President Sarah Bond once the team’s next-gen console has come and gone. Here’s their social media post on this ‘exclusive’ information:
