“Motorola has taken the wraps off the MC75, a smartphone developed for mobile enterprises. It will offer simultaneous voice, data, GPS navigation, and camera-based document capture.This rugged device will deliver the industry’s first mobile computer compatible with multiple 3G network standards — HSDPA and EV-DO — that can capture high-quality pictures, documents, and signatures, as well as 1D and 2D bar codes thanks to its 2-megapixel camera.It will be based on Microsoft Windows Mobile 6.0 running on a 624 MHz XScale PXA270 processor. This offers an existing enterprise infrastructure, enhanced security features, a flexible development platform, and improved mobile messaging.The MC75, the followup to the MC70, will also have a color VGA display and Wi-Fi (802.11a/b/g).
