ASUS P565 gets detailed and pictured

“We don’t know if this is the real deal or not but if it is, ASUS might have created just the right cell phone to ward off the touchscreen heat that is building up right now. The above picture shows what looks like a simpleton with not much inside, but if the rumored specs are true, this handset could very well rule the roost in the coming months. The ASUS P565 is said to be powered by a blazing fast 800MHz Marvell-Tavor processor, something that hasn’t been heard of on a cell phone until now, and a 2.8-inch VGA touchscreen (not big enough for the touchscreen fanatics of course, but it’s VGA!). ASUS also seems to have crammed every known wireless solution into the device including WiFi 802.11b/g, Bluetooth 2.0+EDR, HSDPA support, and also GPS. The fast processor along with a decent 128MB of RAM should keep Windows Mobile 6.1 on its toes along with ASUS’ own Glide touch-control software to round out a pretty impressive feature set. There’s not a peep on its pricing but rumors point to an October release, enough time to change your mind if you are saving up for something else.” via mobilewhack.com
