Windows Phone To Overtake Android?

“Some new figures are projecting a very healthy future for Windows Phone, even beating Android by as early as 2013. The figures, from Pyramid Research, are based off Q1 2011 results and suggest that Microsoft’s partnership with Nokia could pay off big time for Redmond. The basic idea is that Nokia’s ability to mass produce relatively cheap handsets could see Windows Phone soaking up sales in many developing markets where the more high priced devices such as the iPhone et al simply can’t compete. One very important point to make here though is that this is just a projection based off of a single quarter’s results. It might make sense to say that Nokia’s input will boost Windows Phone, but extrapolating years into the future from a limited data set really isn’t particularly useful in my opinion.
