Asus must be on to something. They’ve been shipping 1.5 million Zenfones a month in Q4 last year, the company’s CEO Jonney Shih shared on stage today at CES 2015. But that’s not all he shared. He has also unveiled the latest smartphone in the lineup – the Asus Zenfone 2, as well as the Zenfone Zoom – a cameraphone with 3x optical zoom lens.
The Asus Zenfone 2 is boasting a 5.5″ display with thin bezels, dual-SIM/dual-active connectivity with LTE and finally, a 2.3GHz Intel Atom Z3580 chipset with the world’s first 4GB RAM in a mobile phone.The Zenfone 2 has a curved back with a brushed metal finish and it tapers towards the edges to form an outer edge of only 3.9mm. “To say Chinese computing high-roller Lenovo has been hard at work the past year would be an understatement! At CES 2015, the company announced two new smartphones with flagship capabilities, a trendy smart band, and a selfie flash accessory that mounts to your phone’s 3.5mm jack! Sadly, and we mean it, none of the products below will be sold in the good ol’ USA. We can only speculate, but we’re pretty sure there are complicated reasons behind this puzzling decision.
