BlackBerry 9000 series photo surfaces!
“The BlackBerry 9000 series rumours are not going away, after recently getting some Wall Street analyst backing, there is now a spy shot that’s emerged on the BlackBerry forums site.Posted by someone suposedly based in Waterloo, where RIM’s Canadian headquarters are, with only the word “Enjoy” as a comment, this could be the new form factor of handsets due in the first half of 2008. The 9000 series were strongly rumoured to be toting full touchscreen capabilities, as you will see in the pic, this keeps RIM’s now iconic device design but with more curved edges and a splash of aluminium. There’s no way of knowing whether this is a mock-up, early prototype, or even complete fake, but we’ll keep you informed as and when more emerges on the forthcoming smartphones.”via pocket-lint.co.uk
Pink Palm Centro on the Way?
“Rumors of a Pink Palm Centro have been brought up on the SprintUsers forum along with an official looking image. The image shows a pink colored Centro in the same style as some of the official promo images, which were also leaked shortly before the official Centro announcement. While a release date is far from certain at this point, a couple of posters claim to have heard of a January 6th availability date and also an in-store date of Jan 13th from various Sprint retail employees. The Palm Centro is currently exclusively available from Sprint in the US in Onyx Black and Ruby Red. It starts at $99 when purchased with a select data plan and two year service agreement. ” via palminfocenter.com

Pics of the Samsung F490 and P720 full touch screen phones
“Let’s start with the F490, it’s the one without the built in flip cover. Not only does it look good, but with a full touch-screen, a 5MP camera and tactile feedback, it works well too.Add onto that the fact that the screen has a 3.2 inch diagonal (almost the same as the iPhone) and a 240×432 resolution and you are that much closer to an iPhone competitor. Then consider the HSDPA, lack of a keyboard (which means on-screen typing like the iPhone) and you seem to have Samsung’s version of an upgraded iPhone, provided they don’t FUBAR the OS they put on it.Then there is the P720, the one with the built in flip cover, its an Armani phone. It has a 2.6” screen with fully touch interface, tactile feedback, and generally the same features as its predecessor, the P520. There is also a 3MP camera. The difference is in the dual SIM card capability this phone has, which is good since it appears to be headed to the eastern European and Asian countries.” via slashphone.com

LG Shine Review at phonearena!
“Sliding it open or closed is easy thanks to a spring mechanism that takes over once the slider is half-way opened or closed. Once open, the keypad is revealed which has a strong resemblance to the RAZR minus the reflection. All the buttons are crammed together in this tight space and are a bit small. The design separating each key is slightly raised and easily felt even when not looking at the handset. The biggest annoyance is that the call, hang-up, and back keys are all the way at the top of the keypad. With small fingers, it isn’t a problem to press them but for those who have bigger ones, the top of the finger has to be used. Despite their crammed design and small size, the keypad isn’t as uncomfortable to use as one might think. Each button is easy to press and gives back strong feedback in both feel and sound.” Read more here:

New Blackberry Concepts: Angular Keypad and Scroller
“A new Blackberry concept has just surfaced. Apparently, RIM’s thinking of using an angular keypad for future models of Blackberry. It was also revealed that the same design might be used for the onscreen keypad of future touch-screen Blackberry phones. The company claims it will make things easier for the user. We hope so, RIM. The circular keypads of Nokia 3600 and 3650 were bad enough. Aside from the angular keypad, future Blackberrys will also sport LG Shine-like scrollers. An improvement or an impending disaster? What do you think?” via mobilewhack.com
